Bishop Glen John Provost is asking for the faithful in the Diocese to join him in offering prayers of thanksgiving for the rain which began Sunday evening.
The Bishop said: “We are most grateful to our Heavenly Father for having heard the prayers of so many faithful in the Diocese for rain. I ask that the clergy and laity join me in offering Masses and prayers of thanksgiving and for continued healing from the drought. We are still concerned about those suffering from the wild fires, and we pray for them as well. May the fires be brought to an end. May those who have experienced loss be consoled, healed, and strengthened to persevere. May first responders, fire fighters, and those assisting the victims be upheld by God’s good grace to offer comfort and support.”
