Students in Catholic schools located in Lake Charles and Sulphur will begin the. 2025-2026 school year on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, according to an announcement from the Office of Catholic Schools and Superintendent of Schools Kimberlee Gazzolo.
The five schools domiciled in Calcasieu Parish include Immaculate Conception Cathedral School, Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic School, St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic School, all in Lake Charles; and Our Lady’s School in Sulphur. The 2025-2026 school calendar for Our Lady Immaculate Catholic School in Jennings will be released later in this school year, according to Mrs. Gazzolo.
The final day for the 2025-2026 school year will be Friday, May 22, 2026.
Student holidays scheduled are Labor Day, Monday, September 1; Fall Break, Monday and Tuesday, October 13-14; Thanksgiving, Monday to Friday, November 25-28; Christmas, Monday, December 22, 2025 to Friday, January 2, 2026; Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, January 19; Mardi Gras, Monday to Friday, February 16-20; and Easter Break, Friday, April 3 to Friday, April 10.
