In a news release Tuesday, December 8, the Office of Catholic Schools of the Diocese of Lake Charles has announced that Catholic schools will adhere to recently updated Centers for Disease Control guidelines, according to Kimberlee Gazzolo, Superintendent.

LAKE CHARLES — For decades, the fountains at Consolata Cemetery have added a touch of beauty to the landscape of burial spaces. But, as long as Dewey Duhon has been director of the cemetery, he has never seen the fountains operational.

The Most Reverend Glen John Provost, Bishop, has lifted the dispensation from the obligation to attend Sunday Mass and holy days of obligation in the Diocese of Lake Charles. The obligation for Catholics in good health went into effect November 29, 2020, the First Sunday of Advent.
