JENNINGS — The Most Reverend Glen John Provost, Bishop of Lake Charles, installed Reverend Sam Anthony “Trey” Ange as Pastor of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Jennings on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
As part of the Rite of Installation, Bishop Provost introduced Father Ange as Pastor to the parishioners. Following the Liturgy of the Word and Bishop Provost’s homily, Father Ange led the congregation in the Profession of Faith. At the conclusion, with his hand resting on Sacred Scripture, Father Ange recited the Oath of Fidelity. The Rite concluded with the signing of documents by the Bishop and the new Pastor.
Father Ange, who was assigned to Immaculate Conception Parish, effective July 1, 2022, had been serving in the role of Administrator at the Parish since July 1, 2021. He previously served as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Church in Lake Charles from 2017-2020, Parochial Vicar at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Jennings from 2020-2021, and Administrator at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church in Kinder in 2021.
Father Ange was ordained to the priesthood on June 3, 2017, by Bishop Provost. He currently serves in the role of Chaplain of Catholic Committee on Scouting as well as Oschner American Legion Hospital in Jennings.
