Bishop Glen John Provost released the statement found below regarding the mass shootings in Orlando, Florida that occured in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 12.
"The faithful of the Diocese of Lake Charles join me, their bishop, in expressing our deepest condolences to the families of victims of the horrific incident in Orlando and our prayers for the victims of this terrorist attack. Along with Pope Francis, we are filled with the 'deepest feelings of horror and condemnation, of pain and turmoil' as we commend the deceased to the mercy of God and pray for an end to this senseless violence."
