LAKE CHARLES — Deacon Harold Burke-Sivers, an internationally renowned speaker, author, and preacher — known around the world as the “Dynamic Deacon” — told a group of nearly 80 catechists attending “Veritas 2021” that no matter where he travels in the world, young people tell him they want to hear the truth, and they are not hearing it.

The following statement offers clarification regarding the memo issued on Sept. 29 regarding a priest illegitimately ministering in the Diocese of Lake Charles:

Bishop Glen John Provost issued a memo on September 29, 2021, concerning a priest from the Diocese of Kottapuram in India illegitimately ministering in the Diocese of Lake Charles. The faithful of the Diocese of Lake Charles are not to attend Masses celebrated by Reverend Vincent Vadakkedath.
