"If we have sown a spiritual crop for you, is it too much to expect from you a material harvest?" 1Cor 9:11

In the early life of the Church, as today, the personnel and financial needs of the Church were met by the generosity of the faithful. St. Paul, in his letters, often gives thanks for the communities which supported one another and his own missionary activities.

The Catholic people of Southwest Louisiana have been faithful and generous in their support of parish and diocesan needs. A top priority of the Diocese is to nurture and remain faithful to that spirit of generosity.

To fulfill this Goal, we have set the following objectives and suggested actions:

Objective 1: Develop a comprehensive understanding of spiritual giving (time, talent, money).

Suggested Action:

• Execute a program to improve stewardship for Diocesan and Parish needs. [Development] 

Objective 2: Develop Diocesan organizational management.

Suggestion Actions: 

• Develop a Diocesan/Parish Administration Manual. [Chancellor] 
• Plan and maintain Fiscal/Budgetary procedures in a uniform and consistent manner. [Fiscal Administrator] 

Objective 3: Develop ministerial accountability.

Objective 4: Provide just wages for Church personnel.
